1. What the service is

Insurance Preflight is a service of Outpost Agencies LLC, an insurance agency licensed in Ohio, license #1781775. These terms are between your business and the agency. I’m Frankie Cleary, and I run it.

It checks how a business’s Microsoft 365 is set up against the questions cyber insurers ask, and produces a written report, the Preflight Report. The report is yours to use anywhere.

The agency can also help you apply for insurance and get quotes. Buying insurance through it is your choice, and it leaves the report’s fee the same. Your insurer decides what to offer you, and the report doesn’t promise any outcome.

2. Access to your Microsoft 365

When your admin approves the connection, the app reads settings and setup information. In your Microsoft account it doesn’t change or delete anything except the record of the app that Microsoft adds when your admin approves. The app makes itself that record’s owner so that it can delete it when you revoke.

3. Your data

Your data is used to run your assessments and the recommendations in your workspace. What one assessment finds stays with your workspace, so the next one can build on it. I don’t sell it or use it for anything else, and it’s stored encrypted.

A workspace admin can delete an assessment in the portal at any time. I’ll delete a whole workspace when you ask.

4. Taking access back

You can revoke access at any time, from Settings in the portal or in the Microsoft Entra admin center, under Enterprise applications. Once the app is removed it can’t collect anything more.

5. Signing a carrier’s form

When you sign a carrier’s form here, you type your name and title and press Sign (or Confirm, on a form the carrier signs itself). On a form with its own electronic-signature box, that ticks the box, and the form says the tick counts as your signature. On a form without one, the carrier sends you its own request to sign. I keep who signed, when, from which internet address and browser, and which answers were on the form at that moment. If an answer changes after that, the form needs signing again.
